Being a natural stone, marble flooring is good for your health as well as a more sustainable option compared to tiles.  Tiles are made of clay, in furnaces that burn at around 1200°C, and then are polished to achieve that mirror-like shine.
The initial cost is relatively high, including installation. However, it is more value for money as marble flooring doesn’t need to be replaced for decades. The initial cost is comparatively low. However, the tiles may need to be replaced every couple of years. The life span of tiles flooring is extremely short. 
You can choose from endless marble floor designs like unique bookmatches, inlays and patterns. Since tiles are not unique, they may seem unappealing, especially when used in a large space. 
Marble floors can be polished to restore their natural beauty and shine, even with high traffic. Tiles cannot be polished and must be periodically replaced in areas of high traffic.
The slab joints are seamless and inconspicuous, adding to the aesthetics of the room.  The tile joints and grout lines are noticeable.
